:: Card Patterns 113 ::

Just a quick post!
I wanted to post my submission for this week's Card Patterns sketch.

It's not very often I get a chance to participate in this particular challenge blog.  Something always seems to happen and I miss the deadline or I look at the challenge and can't figure out how I can make something creative based on the sketch.

I created this card with Graphic45's "Once Upon a Springtime" 12x12 collection pad.  I made the "ribbon" by stamping the two sentiments and cut them out my round Nestabilities.  Using Distress Inks in "Antique Linen", "Tea Dye" and "Tattered Rose" to edge and fill in the white spaces.  I took a piece of sheer lace and hot glued it to the back of the bigger stamped circle and adhered it to the card with pop-dots.  Recently, I was very fortunate to obtain some old buttons from my aunt who quilts, crafts and sews.  The two buttons I used are two vintage/retro buttons from the stash bag I received from her.

It's hard to believe the weekend is almost here!
Thanks for stopping by!
