... Birthday calories don't count! |
Today is the first of May but you wouldn't know it for all the rain and cold weather we seem to be having lately. Yesterday was a day full of glorious sunshine and warm weather, but unfortunately the weather gods had a different picture for today... back to RAIN!
So, I decided to lock myself into my craft room and break open my new My Mind's Eye Stella Rose "Hattie" 6x6 paper pad. Don't you just find that My Mind's Eye makes the loveliest paper! I made this card for (yet another!!!) co-worker of mine for her birthday. I used MFT's Pure Innocence's "Flower Girl" and paper pieced her top with one of the papers from the Hattie collection pack. Colouring the image with copics, I embellished the paper edges with gold pearl liquid pearls and Ranger's Distress Inks ("Antique Linen" and "Tea Dye"). I used cream Bazzil flowers (edging them with Antique Linen distress ink as well) and placed yellow Michael's "Recollections" flowers in the centres and made them bling with some Stardust stickles.
Thanks for stopping by!

This is such a gorgeous card! Love those patterned papers and how you paper pieced and coloured the image. So fun!
