This week's card was the card that I created for my mom for Mother's Day.
The last CARD I made and entered into Card Patterns Sketch 113 challenge was actually inspired by this card.
I love to paper-piece! This card was no exception. I love how it brings an image to life.
To make the hair pins "pop" I drew a line with Liquid Pearls "Petal Pink". The florals used were from Prima (medium roses), Hero Arts crafable mini roses (which I used "Tattered Rose" Distress Ink to 'colour' them, then some Michael's Recollections large and small roses. On top of colouring the mini florals, I also spritized them with Tattered Angels "Pearl" glimmer mist. I used Distress Inks in "Antique Linen" and "Tea Dye" to ink the edges and liquid pearls along the base.
On the banner and used some old vintage buttons from my stash to embellish it.
Speaking of Sketch 113, I had quite a pleasant surprise earlier today... I won this week's prize at Card Patterns Sketch! A fine way to begin the week! S:o)
