:: Birthday Sundaes Challenge #25, sponsored by Whimsy Doodles! ::

This week the Birthday Sundaes challenge was sponsored by Whimsy Doodles!

A special offer for Birthday Sundaes Fans - use the discount code Birthday10 at the Whimsie Doodles online store and receive 10% off your next order! Code expires 30 days from today.

It was so difficult to decide what image I was going to use!  My eyes kept moving back to "Hot Mama" so I could not resist (the image nor the sentiment!)... I knew this was the digi for me!

I wanted this week's challenge to be colourful, so I decided to revisit some of my older Basic Grey collections and picked "Kioshi - Yuriko" for the background.  Using my copics I coloured "Hot Mama", embellishing her glasses with some Glossy accents.  The fire extinguisher has also been embellished with some accents and I applied some yellow stickles to the "icing" on the bday cake!

I also wanted to separate the sentiment into two parts, so that I could decorate inside the card.  Here's a look of inside:

I adore all of the creations that the DT and our guest designer (former Birthday Sundaes DT member), Cindy created this week... I really think we rocked this challenge! :)

Why not stop by each of the members' blog and check out their creations... show us how we've inspired you this week by creating a card with birthday image and sentiment! :)  Make sure you post your creations before Saturday by 11:59 pm!  You could win a $10 Gift Certificate to the Whimsie Doodles online store!

On a personal note, you may have noticed that HWC was fairly quiet this week.  I received a call last week that a co-worker of mine passed away.  She had been courageously battling cancer the last couple of years and unfortunately succumbed to the disease last Thursday.  She was such a wonderful person who unfortunately had to leave us too soon.  R.I.P. D.S.

I have also returned to work for another school year and have been coming home utterly exhausted.  I extend my apologies for not having posted more than once, but I suspect it may be that way for the next two weeks.  I promise once school start up is completed, I will be blogging more often! :)

Thanks for dropping by!

I think this card really appeals to me because I can see myself in it. Life is truly funny sometimes. The brightness of the card really makes the whole thing pop. Great work Samantha.
