Last Saturday, my husband and I received a phone call from England (from my in-laws) to tell us that my husband's grandfather had been taken to the hospital. He apparently fell in a car park during the weekly shop that he and Alan's grandmother were finishing. He had cracked the top part of his femur and unfortunately due to the location of the "break", Grandee had to undergo hip surgery as apparently this is the only way they can repair this type of break (I assume) in elderly patients.

So needless to say I quickly whipped up a get well card -- two actually! I ended up creating two cards as the first card got a little too feminine, pink and flowery to be able to send to his granddad. S;o)

[Just an update: Provided he behaves himself!, Alan's grandfather will hopefully be able to go home this upcoming Victoria Day weekend! :)]
