:: Look Ma! NO Liquid Pearls! ::

Excuse the photo quality of pic -- think I'm gonna have to start looking into a new camera!
Hello everyone!

I haven't shelved away my Liquid Pearls bottles yet... honest!
I just thought it would be a nice change and do something different! S:o)

This week's Birthday Sundaes #41 challenge was to create an Easel card
with birthday sentiment.  I had never attempted making this type of card
before because I thought it might be a little too labour intensive.
Boy was I completely wrong!
I can see me creating A LOT more of these in the future!  It was so easy!

Want to make your own easel card?  Check out the links below:

Our Birthday Sundaes sponsor this week is:

Trendy Twine is the trendiest bakers twine on the market with its fresh, fun, festive twist. Some colors are twisted with a light shade, a dark shade, and white. Others are twisted with two colors and no white... all kinds of delicious twists.

Currently there are twelve yummylicious colors to choose from:
Peppermint Stick (red), Strawberry Cupcake (pink), Grape Fizz (purple), Chocolate Truffle (brown), Twisted Lime (green), and Blue Berry (blue), Krazy for Kraft, Halloween Orange Licorice (orange & black), Thanksgiving Orange Truffle (orange & brown), Candy Candy (pink & blue), Posy (soft pink & cream), and Sky (soft blue & cream).
These are fabulous colors for every occasion.

The twine can be used to add a nice pop of color to any package, gift, or special project.
It's the perfect topping.

Spools are 160 yards of 4 ply cotton twine and made in the U.S.

Check out Annie's Paper Boutique for all the gorgeous colours you can purchase or follow the latest releases and crafty ideas at the Trendy Twine blog!

BUT WAIT!  Before you do that...

Samantha, your card is beautiful. Great sentiment on the front of the card - so true. Your little girl is colored so wonderfully. Awesome job, even without liquid pearls. LOL.

Your card is gorgeous....liquid pearls or not. I think this is too funny that you didn't use them on this card. While I was crafting yesterday and finishing up some design team projects I used my liquid pearls for the first time on one and then continued to use them on EVERYTHING. I can see how they can becoming addicting. May need to buy me some more bottles.....I only have 3 colours. LOL!!!

Samantha,
I agree! I also thought this was going to be so difficult to do. Then I did it and can't wait to make another easel card! Easy and it looks so cool! Your image is just adorable! I love the sparkle on the wrapper and the buttons in the corners

Easy??? LOL! I've made them before and I always forget to trim my cardtock to the 8.5 length and then wonder why it won't fold right!

Back to your card - I love it!! Your PI girl is so cute and the glittery cupcake wrapper is awesome! Great work on your first easel card!

Your card turned out beautifully, even without your signature liquid pears ;)
Love that you paper pieced her dress with the same pattern paper but turned. I'll have to remember this :)

Oh fantastic! I *love* the patterned paper you used, and as always, your Copic work is awe-inspiring. :) The title of your post totally cracked me up, BTW. :)
