:: Birthday Sundaes Challenge #36: Use Old/Neglected Stash! ::

I think we cardmakers/scrappers can all agree that we ALL have neglected items somewhere hiding in our crafty arsenals!  I am sooo guilty for purchasing items and then not using them for one reason or another, so they sit waiting for a card or project to be applied too!  Can you relate? S:o)

This week, Karen's Doodles is kindly sponsoring this week's Birthday Sundaes challenge!

I loved creating this week's challenge using 'Fairy Princess'.  I used some old white cardstock for my base, some green Hero Arts rhinestones, Staz-On black ink, an old doily from my doily stash spritzed with some Tattered Angels Pearlized White spray, and some pink twill ribbon.  On the Princess' wings, I also used some Crystal Snow glitter, but unfortunately my camera (or my camera skills!) didn't pick up this little detail.

Other supplies I used are from Echo Park's 'Happy Day' 6x6 paper collection (pink check background), Xpress It Blending Paper, Hero Arts sentiment stamp, Ranger Stickles (yellow and stardust), Copics (hardly ever neglected!) and of course, my old, yet faithful Liquid Pearls! :)

As you can see this week's challenge is all about using what you already have!

This week, Mary is our guest designer!  She used all three digitals to create three fabulous cards!  Why not check them out?  You can also visit her at My Stampin' Hideaway.

So, here's your chance to create a card or project with some older products that you haven't used in a while or at all and tell us about it!  Submit it to Birthday Sundaes and you have the chance to win 3 digis of your choice from Karen's Doodles!  How cool is that?

Just remember to add a birthday greeting/sentiment on the front of the card and to submit that card to no more than 6 challenges (including Birthday Sundaes!)

Thanks for dropping by!

As always Samantha, you have created something spectacular. Sometimes, when I see your Copic creations, I wanna be you, just for a little while - just until I create something this fabulous too. :) I love that checkered pink and white paper, and all that sparkle just makes me smile. Beautiful card! :)

You and your liquid pearls amaze me! I will have to keep practicing day and night to be able to apply them as evenly as you:) Gorgeous work! I am trying out some of the photography tips you gave a couple of months ago. I love how your creations turn out, the pictures always capture the beauty of your work.
