:: Birthday Sundaes Challenge #22! ::

This week's Birthday Sundaes' challenge was to create a card using a minimum of 3 brads.

Lori at Scraps by Sissy is our guest designer for this week and has created a lovely card, which let me just say is fabulous!

Personally, I found this challenge a little daunting (guess that's the point of a challenge!) because I really don't use brads in my creations (aside from placing brads in the middle of flowers!), I had a tough time figuring out find what to do with them!  I tried to rise to the occasion!

I cut a piece of white cardstock to create a 5"x 5" card base and cut some Bazzil Basics dark grey cardstock to create a frame.  Using patterned paper from Echo Park's 6x6 "Victorian Garden", cut out a square piece of paper and inked the edges with "Wild Hare" ColourBox pigment ink and using Silver Pearl Liquid Pearls, I attached it to the gray cardstock.

For the image, I used Doodle Pantry's "Wild Rose" and coloured it with Copics and cut it out with my smal oval nestabilities.  On the rose, I used a fine line of Cotton Candy Stickles and some glossy accents on the leaves to make it look like they had been rained on.  For the background, again I coloured with Prisma pencil crayons and blended it with Gamsol.  I also added a piece of white "lingerie" lace (it's what the store called it!) to the the framed oval cardstock.

I stamped the birthday sentiment on white vellum and attached it to another framed piece of the same Echo Park patterned paper and attached the brads (Making Memories) on either side of the sentiment and added Liquid Pearls to the edge.

If you haven't already check out the DT creations for this week's challenge... you really should!

Thanks for dropping by!
